I'm really chuffed to be trying to complete my first half marathon in October this year, with my brother Jason too! I wish Graeme was joining us - next time, maybe. I'm very excited and really motivated to get stuck into the training.

Plan's changed! J can't make it but am going ahead anyway… :-)

Not only that, if I can raise money for the Heart Foundation along the way it will be all the more special. It's a fantastic cause and there is a very good reason I choose to work for the organisation.

Nothing like having kids to make you think a bit differently and personally I plan to be around to see Baxter do all the things he's going to do as he gets older. Money raised will help the Heart Foundation fund research into preventing and treating heart disease.

Heart disease is the single biggest cause of death in New Zealand, making up 40 percent of all deaths every year. What's worse (or maybe it's good news?) is that many of these deaths are premature and preventable.
