Is New Zealand all flat?

While sitting in front of the fire in the middle of winter holding a glass of Pinot Noir, the length of New Zealand didn't seem that far. From that position 2100 kilometres from top to bottom seemed more abstract. But now it’s very real. At the start of February I will join a group of mad fellow cardiologists and health professionals cycling from Cape Reinga to Bluff over two weeks. After preaching to patients for years that they should get fit and adopt a healthier lifestyle it’s now time to put my money where my mouth is. |
