As you may know last year I started running and did ran 10K in the Auckland Quarter Marathon, raising $245 for the Heart Foundation.

Despite being incredibly rubbish at running (think Phoebe in Friends - arms flailing, sprinting then collapsing), and having the reddest (most red) face ever, I've stuck with it, and this year I am doubling the distance and doing a ridiculous HALF MARATHON - 21K/13 miles.

While putting myself through all this training, achy legs, blisters, and general whining about wanting to be inside with a wine instead of running….. I decided I may as well raise funds for a worthy cause at the same time. The official charity of the Auckland Marathon is the Heart Foundation. As well as doubling the distance, I've doubled my fundraising target.

So if you'd like to see me looking happy* and proud at the finish line, please sponsor me. Or just wish me luck - I'm still going to do it. I know times are tough, so I appreciate you might not have much to spare - every little helps.
