Event: The Great Ride for Heart 2010

In the first two weeks of February I will be joining a group of cardiologists and health professionals, trading in our white coats for bike pants and beginning an epic cycle ride that will cover the length of New Zealand.

Our aim is to boost awareness of heart disease prevention and help raise $1 million for the Heart Foundation's Cardiovascular Research Fund.
Every cent we raise will go directly towards an essential chair in new preventive heart health research at the University of Auckland, which will benefit All New Zealanders.

Along the way we will engage with locals and stage fundraising events in selected towns to raise awareness of heart health from Cape Reinga to Bluff.
I need your support to complete my mission of fundraising $1000 myself!

I'll do all the hard work (train for and complete the ride), but I really need you to make a difference to the hearts of New Zealanders.
