As you can see my favourite mode of transportation is cycling, not running but for some unknown reason I have a strong urge to do the Auckland marathon, especially before I hit the big 40. The idea of doing it and managing to raise money for a brilliant cause at the same time seems like a great idea (not sure about the doing IT though). Two extremely close family members battled dodgy hearts their whole lives, and I would like to do something to help other families who may face the similar challanges my family did.

So, help me as I join the race to beat heart disease.

I've signed up as a Heart Racer to raise money to support the Heart Foundation. By donating through my webpage you will be helping the Heart Foundation continue its vital work in research, cardiac rehabilitation, education programmes and resources.

I'll do all the hard work (train for, and (hopefully) complete the event), but I really need you to make a difference to the hearts of New Zealanders.
