Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the #1 leading cause of death - 40% of deaths in New Zealand.

Everyone in my family, has died of CVD. I'm running the Akl half Marathon to keep out of this family tradition and to raise $ and awareness to help others (and hopefully not myself… yet).

The good news is there's a lot we can do to help through lifestyle, treatment, and education.

Please help me as I join the race to beat heart disease.
