So, it's my first half marathon and even though crossing the finishing line will be quite the achievement, there's a really good cause to support here - so how about helping me out?

I'll be the one sweating it out on the 30th so all you need to do is give up that extra couple of coffees this week (or beers while watching the rugby!)and donate the money to the Heart Foundation via this website. Let's face it, we all know someone that has been affected by heart disease in some shape or form - and one day you too might benefit from the research that this money will go towards.

Not many of you know this, but I too have a dicky ticker, just a minor murmur, nothing to slow me down, but certainly something that makes this cause…dare I say it…close to my heart!
