The Heart Foundation Braveheart Racer Team is:

Andrea Bidois: running the half (her first attempt)
Anna Malan: walking the half
Esther Jacobson: running the quarter (accomplished jogger)
Gail McIntyre: walking the 5k (accompanied by two year old Jack in buggy)
Ian Mathieson: walking the half (enthusiastic late-comer)
Jill Moffat: walking the half (converted procrastinator)
Judith Morley-John: running the half (the seasoned professional amongst us)
Julie Cull: walking the half (the committed temp)
Kirsty Donaldson: running the half (coming from our Christchurch branch - wants to conquer the bridge)
Lincoln Davies: committed to running the quarter(hey - the half is full!)
Liz Henry: running the half (no-one mentioned that the quarter was an alternative)
Namalie Jayasinha: walking the half (attempting to crack an eight minute kilometre)
Orini Pritchard: walking the half for my sister Kiri
Paul Howarth: walking the half (quiet but steady)
Sue Doutre: walking the 5k (her first ever marathon)

As Heart Foundation staff we are all too aware of the terrible statistics surrounding heart disease. Every day we work to fight for heart health for all New Zealanders. Putting together our own Heart Racer team seemed a healthy way to get out there and contribute in a very personal way. Whether itâ€™s walking/running or crawling, there are fifteen of us determined to finish our different events.

We'll do all the hard work but we really need you to make a difference to the hearts of New Zealanders.
