Im not gay, honest!!

Each day 16 New Zealanders die as a result of coronary heart disease. That's one person every 90 minutes. And many of these deaths are premature and preventable.

I have spent several weeks on placement as a nursing student in the Cardiac Care Unit of Wellington Hospital, in that time I have been really impressed by the nurses and doctors in this ward and their dedication towards their patients. Many of them have also entered this event.

I'm not quite sure how I came to enter the half marathon less than 2 weeks before the start… I imagine its a bit late to start training now!!
