Welcome to my wonderful fundraising page !!!

I've signed up as a Heart Racer to raise money to support the Heart Foundation. I work within the Tala Pasifika team, hosted by the Heart Foudation, with my collegue Meliame Cocker and boss Louisa Ryan.

We focus on reducing the number of Pacific smokers because we know that each day 16 New Zealanders die as a result of coronary heart disease. That's one person every 90 minutes. Smoking is the most preventable risk factor for early death and disease. We all know someone or will soon know someone who has suffered from a heart attack or heart problems and its sad to say but the rates are much higher wihin our Pacific and Maori communities.

By donating through my webpage you will be helping the Heart Foundation continue its vital work in research, cardiac rehabilitation, education programmes and resources.

I'll do all the hard work (train for and complete the event), most of you who know me know that I'm a size large or larger. I want to make a difference in my life and I really need you to make a difference to the hearts of New Zealanders.

So, please could you sponsor me or donate to the Heart Foundation by:

1) Pulling out your credit card and select "Make a Donation" below - it goes directly to the Heart Foundation account - its totally fast, safe and secure or,

2) Texting or calling me on 027 2098487 and I'll come around and pick up your cash or cheque for banking or,

3) Coming over to the Heart Foundation office at 9 Kalmia Street in Ellerlsie and drop your donation at reception. I'll make you a cup of tea and chat if I'm free.

Don't forget all donations over $5 is tax deductable if you live in NZ - so go hard and put your money to a useful cause - you will be sent a lovely receipt for your records.

Alot of us know the good news that many risk factors for heart disease are preventable, if people make healthy lifestyle choices.

So, help me as I join the race to beat heart disease.
