Hey,

Yes I know what most of you are thinking, and I’m just as shocked as you that I’ve entered! Lets just say I was caught at a weak moment and agreed to put myself through 21kms of agony for fun and self satisfaction!

Now, while I’m doing the running (and probably a bit of walking), I need your support. Heart disease is huge in NZ. In fact each day, 16 New Zealanders die as a result of coronary heart disease. That’s one person every 90 minutes. It causes 40 percent of all deaths annually in our country - making it more deadly than all forms of cancer, but many of these deaths are premature and preventable.

I’ve signed up as a Heart Racer to raise money to support The National Heart Foundation on Marathon Day.
