In NZ someone dies of heart disease approximately every 90 minutes. And many of these deaths are premature and preventable. Cardiovascular disease (heart, stroke & blood vessel disease) is the single leading cause of death in New Zealand.

SO I'M MAKING A STAND TO DO WHAT I CAN!

So you probably know I'm a runner, I've been running for a couple of years. But I've been slack since the earthquake and lost a LOT of fitness. Right now, (Feb 1st), I struggle to complete only 5kms! But I'm going to train to complete the full 12kms for the City to Surf in March, for the Heart Foundation. You can follow my training progress here.

So, help me as I join the race to beat heart disease!
