Steve Setefano 2 December 1967 - 7 November 2010

It was the evening of 27 October 2010 I was watching my partner at netball training with his youth group….

They had just changed the players around and he was asking which position he was in… then he collapsed…

At first we thought he was playing around but within seconds we realised it was serious… Immediately I phone an ambulance…. then he stops breathing… people start CPR..

It feels like a life time before we see the fire engine arrive and then the ambulance… they work on him for ages as we all just stand in shock waiting for his heart to start beating again.. come on steve people yell come on bro take a breath fight and come back to us……

The ambulance officer turns to us and explains it doesn't look good the've worked on him for a long time and they will have to make a decision soon…

No they can't possible make the decision to stop we can't lose him…he's not supposed to go…

Next minute a stretcher is bought onto the netball court.. Ok they are going to take him to the hospital…they are going to work on him in the amublance….

In the ambulance they continue to work on him.. we get on the Motorway and I hear the ambulance officer yell this man's a fighter.. he had taken a breath and his heart had finally started to beat….

We arrive at the hospital and he's still in a serious condtion they tell me he had a heart attack and we have to wait to see if he wakes up and then we will know the damage…

many days & nights are spent at ICU praying that that he will survive…Come on Steve you have so much more to live for we were ment to grow old together… Lord please bring him back to us….

Sadly in the early hours of Sunday the 7th of November 2010 Steve passed away peacfully surounded by those that loved him dearly…

Its still hard to belive he's gone I still expect him to walk through the door… sometimes I can still hear him singing…

My niece said she stills hears him calling her and when she goes to see what he wants she realises that hes not here anymore…
